I've had a stormtrooper helmet kit finished for some time but wanted to do something more with it. I decided to create a copy of an existing stunt helmet that is in the posession of a guy known as 'Trooper Expert' (pictured above). The helmet was one of the very first few created using HDPE plastic which is a dirty beige colour then was brush painted white by the guys at ILM.

His photos clearly show the helmet to have lots of brush marks, paint runs, hand painted decals and plenty of the white paint has flaked off over the years. The helmet has yellowed over time and is now an off white colour. I will try to capture these qualities for my prop. E.MAIL
